My niece is so. Bloody. Cute.

I seem to be a little bit more biased over the niece(s) on my dad's side rather than my mum's. Since Maya is the first, and only one, as of now (out of all my cousin's on my dad's side, her mum's the only one married with a child), I guess everyone's pretty much fawning over her. Whereas in my mum's family's case, I've tons of nephews and nieces, up to the point of which I can't keep up with any of their names. I don't even recognise whose kids they are. Yes, as said, my mum's side is that big. I don't know why, but sometimes I tend to act formal with kids younger than me (I mean ten years younger, not two or three). It's not that I'm uncomfortable with children generally- I seem to work a hell of a lot better with kids I don't know- but I sort of have this certain weakness for my relations. Like seriously, if I was left alone with any of my nieces from my mother's side, I'd probably feel awkward. So awkward that you could cut the tension with a knife.
